John Hansell Endorses Gillmanization.

In his blog post today, a sort of post-awards announcement revery, Whisky Advocate Editor and Publisher John Hansell talks about creating a personal blend, a gillmanization. If only he had called it by its proper name, though Gary in his sublime modesty is probably glad he didn't.

Thanks Chuck again for your nod on this. But clearly John, as an experienced taster, has intuited a similar idea to mingle or blend spirits to get a balanced taste. He didn't need my help in other words, but it does please me to see that other experienced tasters end up in a similar place.

Just tonight I did the same thing but not with whiskey this time. I blended four gins to get the "right" balance and then added rocks, a little water and four dashes of Angostura. Stir well and ... all is good.

Hope you are keeping well and that wrist is fully operational now.
