Steve99
How hard is it to find the Old Fitz BIB? That's the one I've never seen. Are they still bottling it?
BFerguson
The premise of the article is very good, and I'm looking forward to seeing what future picks are. It is a bit ironic, to me at least, that three of the items are very difficult to currently obtain. VOB-very limited distributionWT Rye-Temp shortage from most appearancesWTKS-Pewter top-only in my dusty dreams will I find one.The thrill just adds to the hunt.B

cowdery
You can find Old Fitz BIB wherever BIBs are sold, which isn't a lot of places. Most stores in most places, if they have anything that's BIB, they have Old Grand-Dad BIB and that's it. Old Fitz Prime (80 proof) isn't that widely distributed either. But where you have Old Fitz Prime and any BIB other than OGD, you should find Old Fitz BIB. It's definitely still being made.Everyone is expecting Heaven Hill to do something new with Old Fitz or, at least, with wheated bourbon, but it probably won't involve Old Fitz BIB. thezenone
You can find Old Fitz BIB on the shelf at Bevmo, at least here in California. You can also find OGD and lately I've actually seen some Rittenhouse 100 as well.
Steve99
I have found Old Fitz, but not the BIB. I have not enjoyed the Old Fitz I have -- seems too young and woody? Is the BIB different/better?Steve
Bmac
There are only three stores in Dallas that carry Old Fitz BIB, but thdy only carry it in 1.75L sizes. Same with Cabin Still. Its just not good enough for me to buy in that volume.
weller_tex
Specs in Houston only carries the standard OF in the 1.75L bottle as well. I have not ready anything good enough about it to buy that volume. OWA is the only thing I buy in that size.I am hoping Heaven Hill comes out with a new and better but available wheater...that is cheaper than the PHC.
