Going to shopping this weekend to get one good bottle.

Which one would you get? (these are all new for me)

E.H. Taylor Tornado

Vintage Bourbon 17 year

Willett 8 year/121 proof

Four Roses Single Barrel (not the LE)

PHC 5th Edition

Garrison Bros. Texas Whiskey

I'd go EH Tornado or PHC 5th. I do like the Vintage 17 but it seems widely available where as the Tornado and PHC are more limited.

I'd pick up any of these three. Most likely I would get the 4R since I'm currently out. Got a bottle of the Vb17 already and the PHC is a tad pricey.

I would eliminate the 4R and Garrison form the list. You can get the 4R anytime, and Garrison is a micro, not saying its bad, I actually have high hopes, but is young and expensive and relatively easy to get in TX. I have wanted to head to Nye for a visit.

Yeah the Garrison is expensive. All the bars that carry it are a good ways from me, and hard to have time to go try it at a bar.

It's not just expensive. It's awful bourbon.

That's good to know, I bought a bottle on my last trip to TX and was going to open it with my TX friend, maybe I will just gift it to him... or sell it on ebay:slappin:

First time crossing threads, I hope that life as I know it does not stop and every molecule of my body explode at the speed of light.

I would probably go with the PHC cognac. I only briefly tasted the Tornado, but I've spent quite a bit of time with the PHC and I... covet it.

You gotta get both.

Both would be nice, but not in the budget. I have certainly read good things about it..the PHC I mean.

This all could have been avoided if you'd answered "Yes" when asked if you're a god.

I'll second that - anybody wants a bottle of their earlier release, I may know somebody willing to part with some

Oh, and it's not easy to find, either - actually very limited, but in this case that's a GOOD thing! :hot:
