Paid a visit to Lost Pollito and Brophmonster at the South Loop Binny's on Saturday morning and I noticed, Zackariah Harris, an 80 proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. Here's what interested me...the bottle and label is designed to look similarly (or exactly) to Evan Williams black label and Glenmore Distillery is used on the label.

The initial COLA application had DSP-KY-113 as the permit number but that was changed to DSP-KY-12. Last year Sazerac had officially changed the name of the Owensboro bottling facility to Glenmore Distilling and they are obviously making use of the name. This whiskey is not yet listed on their web site but it was reviewed back in February by BTI. No, I didn't buy a bottle but another DSP-KY-12 BIB product and a few others did come home with me  .

I saw it on the back bar at Delilah's just the other day. Sazerac's consolation for not getting Ezra Brooks, which was Glenmore, but it went to Heaven Hill, who sold it to Luxco. leaving Sazerac's portfolio bereft of a JD knock-off.
