Jono
As many of us gather with family and friends for a traditional Easter Ham, almost any bourbon or TN whiskey will pair up in harmony. What will be yourselection - if any - on Sunday?Dinner will be away, fortunately, my brother in law has several nice choices. Not sure what he will present...could be 4RSB, Angels Envy, Blanton's etc. There are multiple bourbon glaze recipes online as well.......
cigarnv
Very good point about the bourbon / ham pairing. While I think most bourbons would work well I think most of the Four Roses offerings would be my choice. Just their off the shelf small batch would go great. cigarnv
We actually take a cooked ham... Costco, Honey Baked, etc and smoke it up a bit more with hickory on a Big Green Egg and baste it with a bourbon sauce/glaze. Talk about a nice fit with bourbon...... Flyfish
Honey bourbon liqueur makes a good basting sauce for ham. I also drizzle it over pound cake and bread pudding. In our house, the FR SB is saved for sipping.
unclebunk
The last two years we had a bottle of OGD114 on the table and everyone seemed to really enjoy it with their ham dinner. May switch it up and go with the FRSB as well this year. That whiskey is hard to beat!

Jono
What is the "hamiest" bourbon? For some reason, Woodford Reserve seems to have a ham note to me.....
