gblick
My vote goes to the RB, which is usually at least $10 cheaper than the KS. RB averages about $37 here, but I will only buy it when I find it much cheaper. The last three times I purchased RB (within the past month), it was $30/750ml, $28/750ml, & $15/375ml (the 375ml's were dusty stock W-T-01-99). Plus I prefer the higher proof of the RB over the KS. clindt
Both are very good, but given the choice, I would buy RB. It is usually $10 cheaper here, too. I really enjoy the flavor of RB and like that it is barrel proof. I would love to try a single barrel RB. It would be the best of both worlds (and probably twice the price too). Max Power
I sampled the RB with SOB. It's was a damn good drinkl. As for where to find it, I've always found this site to be useful. Then again, I prefer to get my booze shipped to me if I'm looking for something hard to find.Sure, there's a shipping charge...but there's also not sales/liquor tax on state to state purchases.http://www.wine-searcher.com/find/wild+turkey+rare+breed+barrel+straight+bourbon+whisky+kentucky+usa/1/-/-/r
HighTower
I'm with most here with rare Breed, unless you can get a pewter topped KS, some of those I have had have been sublime.....Have never had a Rare Breed I didn't like!Scott
Bmac
I broke down and got Rare Breed today. I admit I was skeptical but it turned out to be quite tasty! My tasting notes will br short and quick....Mint Chocolate Chip Cigar. Not as hot as I wouod have thought, but you can feel the slight burn from the younger whiskeys and that deep oaky, tabacco flavor from the older whisky. Good stuff! Greeattt....I am having a weak moment and now have resigned to breaking down as well. its not enough that >100 proof is my preference but the deep oaky, tobacco note can be even more intriguing. I will enjoy this:grin: ....so Thanks Bmac!!:toast:
