I wonder whether this was a special distillation, or just extra-aged honey barrels of what bcomes Overholt and Beam Rye....but I've yet to have a bottle of KC that wasn't stellar, and I'm sure their rye will be likewise.Something to replace WT 101 rye during the drought is most welcome. Josh Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 I was ho-hum when I first opened it, but it's really been growing on me. Very good in cocktails too, if you go in for that sort of thing. I found myself thinking that this must be what 7 year old WT101 rye would taste like. Upon the initial nosing, I experienced an emotion similar to that feeling which is invoked by seeing an ex-flame after many years of absence.
