Thoughts on 2009 4R-SBLE?

A local store has about 6 Bottles of the 2009 4 Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition on the shelf. I have been eying it up, but wasn't able to find any good reviews out there.

So obviously, I figured let's ask the group of people who would know.

Not really an opinion based on tasting, but I'd buy one, try it, and see if you wanted to get the others. 4R special offerings are to me what PVW is to other guys, so I'd be getting as many as my budget would allow after trying the first.

Would love to hear your thoughts after you taste it. I found one while in Wisconsin visiting family but couldn't sneak away from the fiancee long enough to go back and snatch it up.

My guess is that it's still there and I am waiting for a reason to head back to that particular town to snatch it up.

I don't know about snatching up all 6 ...

That said, if you don't like it, I'm sure there are folks on here that would trade for 'em ...

The 2009 was an 11 year old OESQ...the low rye/floral yeast combination.

I liked it enough that I only have one bottle left that I can't drink lest I ruin my FR LE collection.

If the price is reasonable, snap them up.

Love this one. I actually like this more than 2009 Mariage, which puts me in the minority. With just a touch of water it gains a wonderfully decadent mouthfeel. Buttery and rich with lots of layers.
