yountvillewjs
One of my favorite days of the year -- Derby Day. In the top 3 on my bucket list, I always watch and hope that maybe next year will be the year I make out there. While I watch, I'll be enjoying some 4R SB (OBSK) -- anyone sharing in my enthusiasm? Either way, I don't reckon you can go wrong with a Julep

Tucker
That was a wonderful race. I'm surprised that Bodemeister broke so quickly and set so many marker records. I'll certainly have another, though!

My son went to the OTB to place a few bets for us before bringing his family over. Luckily I gave him a few dollars to put on I'll Have Another to win. :woohoo:
Bourbon Boiler
The crowd at our party seemed to enjoy my julips made with 1792, and a lot of homegrown mint. I made the mint infusion syrup seperately, so each could mix his/her mint julip according to their own desire and feelings toward bourbon. The kids were given non-alcoholic julips, and they were the only ones to really dislike their drinks.

Kepler
My annual Derby day tradition, I pull out the RHF dusty for a pour. Waiting in the wings for later in the day, I also have new RHF plus another quintessentially "Kentucky" bottle that I love, a private select Kentucky Spirit from a Kentucky liquor store I picked up on a trip there. I guess it's the next best thing to being there! What are you pouring for derby day?
Paddy
I know it’s a bit of a shock, but I’ll be drinking the product(s) we’re famous for.
Harry in WashDC
MM with the 2018 Derby label. Some persons will have it over ice/simple syrup/muddled mint. I will drink it neat (from a glass, NOT from the bottle) while I am making those for other persons. Please be assured -- I only drink from the bottle when there's those drops and residuals after the "last" pour has been poured and the bottle has been sitting for awhile before hitting the recycle bin. AND, I'm usually at the recycle bin. ASIDE - Why do I feel the need to explain?

A preemptive strike because you have a pretty good idea of the questions/comments that would've been coming your way! As for me, I'm pouring nothing. Back on some antibiotics that don't mix well with liquor. No booze for me this month

Here's hoping the antibiotic regimen fixes whatever it is supposed to fix and you don't hear, "Well, that didn't work so well. Let's try THIS drug now." Keep poking those of us, who can't get EITHER, with a sharp stick. FWIW, I'd almost trade my unopened GTS 2014 for a 6 bottle-750 case of HH 6yr BIB. Almost. THIS IS NOT AN OFFER!! I'm serious. IT IS NOT!
