We'll be there for the next week. Looking for tips on good bourbon destinations. We loved Alembic last time we were there, so we'll likely make another trip. Any particular stores worth visiting outside of BevMo?

Also, if anyone wants to point me toward some fertile hunting grounds, send a PM!

There is no bourbon anywhere north of SF; I know this for a fact. Don't even bother looking. Seriously. Nothing to see here.

Really.

Will keep that in mind. Thank you for saving me from useless hunting time!

And thanks, guys, for the other tips. I'll try to check some out.

Ledger's in Berkeley has some private bottlings.

Healthy Spirits in SF has a nice selection.

Has anyone been to The Broken Record? I heard they had a pretty amazing whiskey selection.

Does anyone know if there is any Woodside Partners Reserve left? Was it the Village Pub or maybe the obvious Woodside Pub that had these special Van Winkle bottlings? I stopped in while making sales calls a few years ago and enjoyed a pour or two. I'm also fortunate enough to have an unopened bottle. I recall that the restaurant was off the beaten bath but quite busy for an early afternoon when we stopped in. If you're in the area and they still have some of their selection left it might be worth a stop. Perhaps one of you locals can refresh my memory on the name of the restaurant and whether they still have any of their selections left.

Blackwell's in SF just sent me an email. They have some Willett's of various ages in stock if that's something you're interested in.

There isn't much south either. I'm in the Monterey Bay area now, and have looked around NSE&W ( not too west though - it's mostly water and that is not what we are looking for). A couple stores in the Santa Cruz area have nice variety.

Beltramos has a decent selection. Plenty of expensive Jefferson Pres 18 last time I was there.

I recently scored a bottle of 2010 Stagg in Cupertino. Same store has some favorably priced weller 12 and some 7/107 non sw

Let me know if you bay area peeps meet up. I've got a bottle or two laying around that we can put to use.
