Weller 12??? It is definitely about time! I saw a Willett 4 Yr. rye up in Dunwoody also, but thought it was a fluke. Glad to see some of this stuff is making it to ATL!

I saw that at Minks too, Jack. I was unsure on whether it was Barrel Proof, or not. It didn't specifically say so, as far as I could tell, but the proof was pretty high. What did the bottle you saw say?

I've also seen the Willetts all over town. Haven't seen the Weller 12, though. That is definitely great news.

Great. Now I have to sneak out of work early to see if it made it as far as Athens.

It figures I move away and they start selling Weller 12

If I had no bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Gloom, despair, and agony on me!

Another reason to come back for visits, then!

Could it be that BT is changing their marketing strategies with regard to W12? We started getting it in Indy a couple of months ago, and had never seen it in the state before.

I'm happy. Weller 12 was my regular pour for quite some time. I would be happier, but my tastes have changed a bit in the past few years and I now prefer the extra punch the OWA gives the 12 in the SB blend. At least now I won't have to pay for shipping to get my fix.

The thing I find interesting in this is that BT had to basically bribe the distributor of the Weller line to put some effort into the brand within the last year. Remember the $9.99 WSR? And, how much OWA do you see? Not much. And, the distributor literally would not even consider doing a Private Barrel of it, until BT stepped in. But, the 12 yr seems to be hitting the shelves in at least a few places. Maybe, there's been a change of heart on the entire line, here.

I've actually been spending some more quality time with my Buffalo Trace wheaters this month. I'll definitely need to pick up a bottle of W12 when I'm back in ATL at the beginning of June.

It's great to see Weller 12 make it to GA. Hopefully it will migrate up into the Carolinas...

Mind if I ask about how much it is going far in GA. I pick it up for $22 when I'm in TX and $30 when I have my daughter bring it back from FL.

I bought mine at $24/bottle credit, it is a few bucks cheaper if you use cash.
