Was visiting my sisters in Washington this week, and they took me to this place.

Wow.

I could tell I was in heaven before I walked through the door, as they have library style shelves lining the walls up to the freaking ceiling. A mind-boggling selection of single malt, bourbon, and rye whiskey was available in 1 or 2 oz pours. The prices were at the point where I would consider this as anything other than a special occasion bar, but for that purpose it is well suited.

I can't think of anything they didn't have actually. The Pappy, BTAC, entire Parker's Heritage Collection, A.H. Hirsch, about 20 Willett private selections, those fancy Bookers Distiller's Masterpiece decanters, William Heavenhill Signature...

No, I met a guy named Roberto, and we talked Scotch for a bit, but I would have recognized this Harvey Fry. Great article, by the way.
