Total bummer since the website said it was open - had heard/read so much about High West only to be turned away at the door.

I was hoping to score a bottle of Campfire but it'll have to wait until next trip.

As consolation, I did find a bottle of PHC 10 :-)

Why were they closed? I'm live in OR and travel to SLC a couple of times a year. Most trips I make a stop at HW. I assumed they kept normal biz hours.

I think Dave Perkins is a member on here and he can probably elaborate.

That stinks though man.

Not sure why they were closed - a 8.5" x 11" sign was hung up saying they'd open back up @ 5:30... Had my kids with me so couldn't wait around until then. Will be passing back through next year so I hope to catch them when they're open - truth is I should have called in advance.

So sorry to have learned of your attempted visit. The restaurant was closed a few days last week because we were training staff for our soon-to-be-opened bar/restaurant in the Salt Lake City airport. While the restaurant was closed, you should have been able to buy a bottle in our general store...did you not see an employee?

PLEASE reach out to me should your travels bring you back through Park City. I'll make sure we have the red carpet rolled out for you!

I will stop by again for sure! I was told the general store was closed as well but I'm starting to see campfire showing up online so I'll pick up a bottle.

Thanks for the reply!

As for as Seattle sources of Campfire, I saw (and bought) it at Wine World and Spirits on 45th yesterday!

I am eager to try Campfire, but I will wait. That place has the most asinine liquor prices I have ever seen and I refuse to give them any business - so many better options now with Total Wine in town.

No doubt their prices are ridiculous and hopefully will come down given the BevMo and Total Wine influence, but for me, the location can't be beat, so I'll continue to visit for the one offs I need and don't want to drive around for.
