Gillman
EC 12 surely, Randy, better than that Fitz 12 anyway. And ole Dickel No. 12, it ain't no No. 13. Why, for that matter, Canadian Club sells a power of its 12 year expression in the Great White North. Don't forget Johnnie Walker Black Label and Chivas Regal, gran-dads of the bunch I'd say save the discursive/personal/current-year items per end of your list. T Comp
12 is a good sweet spot. Many bourbons over this age start tasting woody. A good sweet spot for us humans too. Your life in front of you and starting to understand the world better. No longer a child but still pretty innocent without many responsibilities or the full blown hormones that can cause all that rage, lust and wood . Randy & Val at 12? Val is #3 right? Is she past the sweet spot? Just kidding. Where's the rim shot icon...and for people here who have expressed umbrage with Wade...see he's really a great guy even to his good friend . kickert
If you forced me to pick a sweet spot with bourbon I would say 12 years, although I have found it moves from 8 to 15 depending on the other circumstances.
