soonami
I've read the rave reviews on the 14 year Smooth Ambler VOS, but this is he first I've heard of or seen of the 11 year expression. It was $67 at the Brooklyn Wine Exchange. Anybody has it? Price seems a little steep for an 11 year old bourbon
soonami
No Help?I decided to pass on this bottle since I spent a large sum of money on the BTAC release earlier this week and I don't have room for many more unopened bottles. I just wish there was more info or reviews out there
jakew
I've not really been able to find any info either. All I could find was this description from an online store."11 Year Old Very Old Scout Bourbon is a marriage of 11, 12, and 13 year old whiskeys, with a grain bill composed of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. It is bottled without chill or carbon filtration at 100 proof for a bold, concentrated flavor. While technically a low rye mash bill, the rye imparts complex but balanced flavors of baking spices and burnt caramel. Available in select markets, VOS is in high demand and short supply!"
