Willett Joins the KDA!

A Bardstown, Ky.-area distillery is the newest member of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, the trade group announced Thursday.Willett Distillery, a small family-owned operation, resumed production in January of this year on the site of the former Willett Distilling Co. that was built in 1936.

Brothers Thompson and Johnny Willett built the original distillery and retired in the early 1980s.

Norway native Even Kulsveen, a son-in-law of Thompson Willett, purchased the property in 1984.

The rechristened Willett Distillery is fully owned by Kulsveen and other family members.
