michaelturtle1
I am headed to NYC on Saturday, are there any liquor stores that have above average selections of Ryes/Bourbons? I already have Astor wine and Spirits on my radar and know about Park ave Liquors..but am looking for suggestions.
Lazer
you can check this place out. Looks good. I personally haven't been there yet, but I hope to fix that soon. http://www.bqewineandliquors.com/
soonami
That store looks almost too good to be true, 15% off if you spend $200, Weller12 for $22, EC18 for $45...
michaelturtle1
I wasn't planning on stopping in Brooklyn but I may have to detour to stop there...wow
Smithford
Your first stop should be in Brooklyn at Char No. 4, so you can try before you buy. It's 15 minutes from lower Manhattan on the F train. If you're going to be shopping at Astor, Warehouse Wines is nearby and worth checking out. A lot of Manhattan is overpriced, but Park Ave takes the cake.

But some of those things are too good to be true.+ You only get the 15% discount on things that are not already on sale, and most of the bourbons are always "on sale".+ They don't have any EC18 left. But they always have Weller 12 and it really is $22. msong
I'll second BQE, bought some rare whiskey (not bourbon) there and they had great prices. A bit harder to get to, but well worth it if you are stocking up. Wish I knew about BQE when I actually lived in NYC!

Andre28
i went to this place when i was in town. It had an excellent rangeWarehouse Wines & Spirits (212) 982-7770 735 Broadway, New York, NYThat said, being a visitor from Australia, it was easy to impress me with range and prices when it came to spirits.I remember mentioning how cheap it was there, and one of the staff looked at me a bit shocked, and then he said "oh, you mean inexpensive" haha

Seems a bit odd.But a place to keep in mind next time I get to New York (which unfortunately doesn't appear to be any time soon).
