The Binny's email offers pre-sell, only. They make it sound as though this is a final liquidation sale. Buy it now, or forget it forever.

Now I'm trying to get confirmation of my Sam's order, while wishing I hadn't deleted their email after I placed the order. I wonder whether one should get in line at both stores.

Supposedly this IS the last of the Hirsch 16 year to be bottled. And Binny's said that they have already had about 30 orders since this morning (Sams says the same thing!). On their site it is listed as 80 proof but I called and it is a mistake, it will be 91.6 proof as always. By the time others go there it may be fixed to read the correct proof. Get this bourbon while you can, you will not regret it!

Subscribers to Whiskynotes from Malt Advocate were just advised today that Sam's and Binny's have this great sale going on.

I got this in an email from Sams today. I guess all shipments, even those from Binny's, will be delayed as well.

There has been a slight delay in shipment of the A.H. Hirsch 16 year old Bourbon. The labels were not affixed properly and, by law, had to be re-done. The A.H. Hirsch 16yr. should be here at Sam's ready to pick-up/ship in September.

They have extended the pre-offer pricing for a short period longer. If you would like to take this opportunity to order more please do so now. As soon as this stock is gone it will no longer be obtainable.

No crap haha. I saw they charged my card the near $500 right after the order! No matter, but I was shocked they still did that... I've got a case on order at Binny's as well, but they did not charge before hand.

If Pot -Still is the only criteria there is only one place to look. There will be plenty to look forward to in the next 15- 20 years otherwise. If getting the last of a defunct distilleries' product is what you hope for , I don't see there being any fewer players than present, But you never know , Those 75 or so distillers in Nelson county a hundred years ago probably didn't realize they'd soon be kissing their asses goodbye in a few years! I don't doubt that Hirsch is good, I think the fact that it is to be no more after it is gone is a big driving force of at least the price going thru the roof. I will probably sell my one bottle of 20 at some point. I can turn a tidy profit and live without ever drinking it , there's always Stagg!

I have been recently thinking the same thing Cliff. I hope they still keep with their promise of it at that price, especially after billing me a month ago... I'd like to know from them what happened? They made posts here, sent out numerous emails about it and their 'sale price' of $199 for the 20, and offers for other liquors but have sent out nothing recently keeping us aprised of the situation. Having billed us already, I'd like updates...
