I 'think' they still have more available because after apeaking with them they kept saying how now it will be selling at regular price again. I just take that to mean that yep, they still have more for sale. What I know is all of us who got in on any amount of bottles at $40 really got a great deal on a phenominal bournon! toast.gif

Hirsch 16 is a very good $42 bottle of bourbon! yum.gif

It was a bourbon worth buying at $62 for the last several years. tongue.gif

Sam's priced this latest, and last, bottling at $41.99 after delivery from the BT cat & dog line; Binny's moved it up to $49.99. banghead.gif

My case just arrived from Binny's and I've got to say they cheaped out a bit on the bottling this time. The label is the same as the last run of 16 YO, but they didn't do the gold wax on top this time. It's just a foil top with stars imprinted ontop.

I know, no big deal the bourbon is what matters and I agree, but still I noticed this immediately after opening the box. For me the wax just added that extra something special to such a special bourbon.

This particular new bottling? Nope. The old Hirsch 16 with the wax, Yep many a time. I am hoping it is as good as the old batch even after being stored this long... I've got too many other bottles I planned on opening this weekend while at a friends house to open yet another bottle right now haha. I'm sure someone will try this batch soon enough though.

I would ask any who have tasted it to consider if it has evolved in flavour from the first bottling of some years ago. The whiskey has been stored in a manner to retard further aging (I believe in stainless steel tanks), but as some years have passed, one would think the taste may continue to improve. Maybe it tastes now like the 20 year old did on its release, without the 20's price. That would be nice, considering too the discount these curent bottles were sold at.
