DPPSmoker
This is a nice short film narrated by Julian Van Winkle. The link was attached to the Old Rip Van Winkle website. I thought the folks here may want to check it out.http://vimeo.com/45604246

DPPSmoker
Thanks so much for sharing."We tried hard to make it right. Don't mess it up when you drink it."I'm paraphrasing here but I like the part where Julian says people tell him to "just make more".Flyfish, did you see that Jim Rutledge was in your neck of the woods almost two weeks ago? He was at the Blarney one evening doing a tasting and signing. I went with some buddies to see him and we had a great time.
LostBottle
· Hidden Hidden "Asleep In The Wood" was great, thanks for sharing. This has inspired me to make a short about some of the other premium BT juice, CEHT. It will be called "Asleep At The Still". Edited November 19, 2012 by LostBottle Link to comment
tigerlam92
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed it. For it, I am having a big pour of his "left over" bourbon, the PVW 23 years, great stuff.CheersHugh

tarheel
Great link. I was pretty surprised at how few video interviews of Julian Van Winkle are available. It made me wonder just how much of an increase in production they have planned. The demand right now completely overwhelms the supply of ORVW products, and that is a good problem to have in business. Of course, the ideal would be having one fewer bottle than total product demand. I'm guessing it'll be a while before we get to that point! smknjoe
I ran across this short film featuring Julian Van Winkle a couple of days ago and found it to be very interesting and educational (to me.) According to Julian he wanted to create a label that honored his grandfather. And at the same time get rid of some whiskey that didn't sell at younger ages (this was 20yo whiskey.) I don't think he will have that problem again any time soon!http://vimeo.com/45604246
smknjoe
Didn't know there was already a thread on this. Glad I ran across it.
Borchard
Great watch. I think I'll enjoy some of the remainder of my 20yr Family reserve tonight when two of our good friends come over. It'll actually be the first time I've shared it with anyone.
