I paid $60 for my JEP15 bourbon, and it's very meh. Not bad, not great, I get a dill note that doesn't play well with the corn sweetness. And I've revisited this bottle a few times since opening it a couple weeks ago. If it was $40 it'd be properly priced, and I will not be buying this again. This, the JEP 15 rye and the JEP NAS bourbon have all underwhelmed, but the NAS rye is fine IMO.

The JEP rye actually isn't NAS, per se; there's a very small note on the back label that reads "Aged over 2 years". So it's not an exact age statement, but there's no absence of one either.

When this 1st came out, it sold for about $60 for the 15 YO. Then they released an NAS version and 2nd batch of 15 YO. The NAS is around $40 but the 15 had big price increase and now $130-$150. You might still find stray bottles of 1st batch for $60. Other than price, I don't think there is anyway to tell what batch is what.

I bought a couple at the $60 price point and thought is was pretty good at that price point. For $140 no way.

Thanks for the details. I had always been confused with the assumed pricing changed.

Still can't see how they raised prices so much on second release.
