squire
Maybe, maybe not, that's why they call it a secret.
savagehenry
OWA for first time in several months. Tastes better than I remember. Either an exceptional batch or just been so long that I forgot how great it was.
HighInTheMtns
I picked up an EWSB 2001 today. Didn't try it last year, but I really like the 2002 and most everyone has good things to say about 2003. This is as close as it gets to dusties in Utah :-)
Drunk&Sarcastic
I picked up a 750 ml of Larceny today. We finally got it in at the place I work at.I love Heaven Hill products and I love wheaters so I'm definitely excited to try this one.
JPBoston
Resupplied on OWA, and also picked up a bottle of Fighting Cock due to it's high marks in a (somewhat) recently necro'd BOTM thread.
Lucas Jackson
JP - I think you'll enjoy FC, I find it to be an excellent value often around $13-16 I found these yesterday When I asked to see the RR, the store owner said it had been on that shelf for 20 years and it was a fair $30. Still looking for some of the 101 =...[ FRSmB LE 2011 - very excited to have this, my first FR LE

HighInTheMtns
When I asked to see the RR, the store owner said it had been on that shelf for 20 yearsHe was lying, or misremembering. That label dates to 2005.
smokinjoe
He was lying, or misremembering.Right. I believe the 90 proof as in your bottle was released in early 2005. Latest, lated 2004. A sad day in Boubonia, when they replaced the WTRR 10yr 101, with that.
Kalessin
Stopped by a place called Four Seasons Liquors on Route 9 in Hadley MA.They're in a partnership with the much-praised Julio's Liquors of Westborough MA in this thing called "The Loch & K(e)y Society" which is the name on all the special whiskey bottlings. I picked up an L&K selected Elmer T. Lee for $28 or so that I didn't get when I was last at Julio's, and found a replacement bottle of the L&K selected Henry McKenna BiB at $33 that I've been enjoying for a few months and has run out at Julio's. JPBoston
JP - I think you'll enjoy FC, I find it to be an excellent value often around $13-16Yessir, I've had a few pours now and definitely enjoy it! I'm a fan of OGD BIB, but this FC stuff may dethrone it in my rotation, or at least compete with it, due to the $13.99 price tag. I get a heavy sweetness up front, quickly overpowered by a heavy rye spice attack and some nice barrel notes as well. Pretty darn impressive for a $14 bottle. Smokewagon
I went to Go Whisk(e)y Weekend at Julio's Liquors in Westborough MA. On Saturday I was there from 11:00 am to 8:30 PM, Sunday I was there from 1pm to 4pm. I was able to talk to MAster Blenders, Master Distillers, Brand Ambassadors that had been both, and sit in on a bunch of seminars/classes. It was a great experience. I also managed to try a better part of 30+ different types of whisky over 2 glorious days. I ended up with the following selections:Signed (By Al Young) gift set of Four Roses Small Batch for a friend. Signed bottle of the 4R Small Batch for myself as well. Loch & K(e)y Society Jefferson's President's Select 18yr (Peope say this is "Pappy", I don't know about that, but it is damn good juice).L&K Bernheim Single Barrel (I know it isn't bourbon but dang if it wasn't outstanding.L&K's Elmer T. Lee single barrel I also bought some of my favorite scotches and what not that I always keep around the house. Got to take advantage of the 10% off while I can! I also purchased Al Young's book about Four Roses. It was $20.00 and 100% of the proceeds went to the Shriner's.~SW

I was booked up with family all weekend, or I would have tried to go myself...Glad to see an SB.com member likes the L&K JRPS 18 y.o., now I can start saving up for a bottle to try it myself. I already like the L&K ETL, and now I'll make a point of picking up the Bernheim, too!
Diesel
Well it wasn't today, but a couple weeks ago with the late release of Pappy here in NJ because of the hurricane I went around a couple of counties and picked up 5 bottles of PVW 20yo, 2-15yo, 1-23yo. 1-12yo, and 1-10yo ORVW. I just hit it right within a couple of days of deliveries, I'll probably never get that lucky again!
