2x BHC IW Harper, couldn't say no at $14.99 and an age stated OWA that was in a black bag... I have heard of these being a duty free product that was put out for general sales? Unsure? The sales guy wouldn't let me keep the bag anyways..

Well - I TRIED to buy some OGD 114, but apparently recent press has resulted in a run on the stores :smiley_acbt:

Wow, the StraightBourbon influence strikes again.

Located a bottle of the cognac finished PHC today. I talked it into coming home with me.

Did you say something like "what's a bottle like you doing in a place like this?" Or "trust me, I'm a gentle uncorker..."

FINALLY put hands on an OGD 114, but apparently the sinuses are funky so will have to try it another day. Someone (who may or may not have recently been honored on this glorious site) apparently cleaned out Jackie's, as they won't have any until the end of this month

No G, I didn't clean them out. They don't carry it.

I must confess that money was involved. My charm only gets me so far in these matters. ;)

You may be in luck then - I had the clerk check on OGD 114 and Old Forester 'Signature', and after asking Paul in the back claimed they would have OGD 114 at the end of the month, but don't carry the OFS. I assumed it was a regular carry (and we know what happens when we "assume" . . . and it involves a goat and some Bourbon Supreme!)

Picked up some Old Forester 'Signature' on my dad's recommendation, as well as a 375 of the "soon to be dusty" 84 proof MM. Someday I'll do a blind test of the 84 vs 90 to see if I can tell the difference - because I truly will have nothing better to do

Saw a Henry McKenna 10Yr/BIB pop into stock at my Total Wine for the first time in months, so picked up a bottle. Looking forward to trying this one.

Doubling up on 114, I like that.

I have a particular store that is on the way home that Gary and Joe haven't frequented....yet. I left one on the shelf though and I politely informed the owner she was down to a single. Yummy stuff!

Another 750ml WSR7 from 06. At only $17 I should have bought more. And another 500ml 10 year OC from Louisville. I find this stuff just delicious. Other than that I struck out big time on what I assumed would be a fruitful dusty hunt.

I received 17 bottles yesterday and today via the brown truck. My Dad shipped out a part of my ever growing stash that is at his house. Wow. this isn't the end of it and I guess I didn't realize how much I have stored there. He threw in 3 bottles of barrel aged bigfoot that he picked up for me last week for good measure. I can safely say my Dad ROCKS!!!!!

You will benefit from them, don't worry. I've got another coming from someone else next week that will bring a tear to your eye. Wipvanwrinkle has already had dreams about it. I think he's more excited than I am.

Ah HA! Soo . . . if the average commute in North GA is like 20 miles, and I use a compass to draw a circle with a 20 mile radius around Ball Ground . . . oh hell, that is a lot of stores! Better gas up the car now!

Getting ready for the March Madness and lots of visitors during the tournament, so I always pick up some inexpensive bottles that make nice "session" whiskeys: JTS Brown BIB, Fighting Cock, VOB 90 (they were out of the BIB!) and a newbie to my cabinet, Old Heaven Hill BIB (not the Very Rare, just the gold label which is rare to us up here in Chicagoland).
