smokinjoe
This evening turned out to be too nice to just stay inside and do something productive, so decided to sit down out front with an Oliva G Maduro Churchill and chill.
marshall9779
Cheapie on the course yesterday. My BIL gave me about 8 of these almost a year ago. Decided I would save these for golf course smokes. Fist time out in almost 2 years.

smokinjoe
Oliva Master Blends 3 is like Buffalo Trace to me. Comfort food. . Enjoying both on the front patio tonight, as I get mentally prepared to battle hard tomorrow and finish off this week in good fashion.
Sven Heuchert
The two MM-Cobs I smoke the most lately. I smoked a lot of Cornell & Diehls Bourbon bleu and a Louisana flake, plus some Nashville County baccy, a VA/Burley mix I absoluteley love. The stems are Forever Stems from Walker Briars, the are suited for the MM-Cobs. It's a great smoking experience. Took 'em just three month to arrive in Germany, but worth the wait.

Certainly not the corncob pipes of my youth. Interesting pipes.

Vosgar
The thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon apparently missed us, so out on the porch with an Oliva MB3 and some AAA 10yr. Nice way to enjoy a Saturday

Mattk
A friend of mine brought me back a box of cigars from the Dominican republic. I have never heard of these, nor can I find any info online about them. I'm probably going to try one tomorrow for father's day. But would love to know more about them. I typically enjoy the person 20th anniversary, just starting to get into cigars.
HoustonNit
^^Mattk, how where they? All I could find was a small shop, I guess manufacturer in Florida but your's clearly say there made in the Dominican Republic so not sure. https://cigarguideorg.wordpress.com/tag/don-pancho/

These Oliva MB3 are a personal favorite, thing I'll need to do one of those Holts specials they always seem to have on these. The BT analogy is good. Been on a hiatus from SB for no good reason other than Taptalk dosen't work anymore but I might keep an eye on this and a couple of the other threads. Around when my first child was born and my last cigar buddy moved away. Cigar fanaticism was eventually replaced with bourbon in 2017. Twice a year or so I still have to go through the cooler, refill humidity beads and checking each box for mold. Sent these to a friend and thought the cigar smokers on here would enjoy some Easter weekend porn. Picture is of the bottom level of around 5 layers of boxes when fully loaded. The Cohibas are 2013 Esplendidos. I guess a lot of people are kind of anti Cuban cigars but I'm not. This needs way more love. Did you send all of those to your friend or just the box of Cohiba's? You wouldn't happen to live in Houston? Would trade BBQ steaks, and generous pours of bourbon for one or tow of those, while grilling said steak.

The cigars were very tasty. I found them to be a bit tight. But the flavors were well balanced. I got a strong nutty note and some toasted marshmallow in the tobacco. The smoke was surprisingly light and the mouth coating of the smoke was almost powdery. It complemented my hotchsteader's 16 very nicely. I'm glad I got ten. Unfortunately in the Chicago area, but we do have family friends in Houston, so I just may be able to take you up on that offer in the future! Steaks, big pours and some fine cigars sounds absolutely fantastic! And I have to say I agree in re: cuban vs non cuban cigars. They are just overall better and more complex, and unfortunately its not just the forbidden fruit hype IMO. HoustonNit
Alright Bob let me know the next time you plan on making the trek to Buffalo. It would be nice to share a pot or two and some good smokes with a fellow SBer.
HoustonNit
First time I’ve tried to post images on here without taptalk. Got a delivery of Oliva Masters Blend 3. These are fantastic smokes and a great deal on Holts. One of my favorites so well constructed, good smoke and overall one of my faves. Pairs well with the RR10 and WT101 rye. smokinjoe
Oliva MB3 to finish up the weekend, and thinking of our friend Gary. Gary would text me when a sale hit Holts or CI, as he knew I liked them like he did. If I make it to Heaven one day where he is, I look forward to sharing a smoke of one with him. That will be a grand time.
