This is just awesome. HH is on an amazing (barrel) roll right now. I received a message from Larry Kass about this today, as well. We are proud of you, too, Bettye Jo Boone. You are an inspiration to all bourbonians, my friend.

One page article in Whisky Advocate Summer '13 issue about Parker.

HH will donate $20 from the sale of each bottle of Parker's Heritage Collection Fall '13 to the ALS Association (Parker Beam Promise of Hope Fund).

If only we could each get a bottle by making a donation. . .

Then again, maybe distribution will reach to Hawaii.

News is starting to barrel roll in regarding the Master Distillers Special Blend and Parkers Heritage 7th Edition 'Promise of Hope'. We now have a label for the bottle, with a special label on the back!

The NC ABC now has this listed on their price list: $89.95.

I think I might just donate $20 and skip the $69.95, 10 year old, 96 proof whiskey.

You indirectly brought up a good point. I love the fact that HH is donating $20 for every bottle, but if you consider how spirits are sold, the consumer cost is way higher than it should be. If HH is marking up their initial price by $20 so they can donate "100%" of the $20, what that does is add $20 to the base price of the bottle before it makes it through multiple layers of middlemen who are all marking it up the normal 30-50%, plus the state taxes added along the way. All that means is that the spirits distributors and retailers (and government) are making a lot of money on the backs of the consumer so HH can absorb the $20 per bottle donation to ALS.

I would much rather donate $20 and not buy overpriced bourbon.

Update: $20 donation made. :)

Just remember... The proof on the TTB label is a write-in so it could be conceivably higher proof than pictured.

Don't think so; it's a write-in for style but the back label says they let Parker pick the proof and age he wanted. I bet it will be good stuff, but it won't be high proof.

I just picked another one up this weekend. I now have a couple in reserve which is good because they tend to go fast once opened.

I'd rather donate $20 bucks and save the rest for a bottle of EWSB, EC12, and FRSB. I won't even donate the $20 dollars because I audit alot of non-profits and I know where alot of the money goes...
