CL
Buffalo Trace "Sam's Single Cask Bottling" Bourbon, USA 90 proof @$19.99 To the best of our knowledge this is the only "Single Barrel" bottling of BT. Big, and rich with aromas of caramel, vanilla, toffee, and molasses with a complimenting spice note that offer flavors of clove, allspice, and a hint of pepper. A tremendous value! In my confirmation email for the Hirsch 16 order, the above was listed in a current list of Sam's specials and special bottlings. Has anyone heard of this bottling? Or better yet, tasted it? Paradox
Yep, got some of them with my ORVW 20 Barrel Proof order. You wouldn't know it is a single barrel bottling as it is not mentioned on the label, but I did confirm in fact it is. Unfortunately, I have not tried it as of yet, but for that price thrown in with an existing order it's not too bad a deal...
Bob
I too got a bottle of the BT when I ordered the 20 YO ORVW Sam's bottling. In addition, to Mark's confirmation, I checked it out as well. I was told that to create a new, special label would have caused the price to go up considerably. The "Single Cask" bottling has a transparant sticker that says "selected by Fred Rosen for Sam's Wines and Spirits". Unfortunately, I haven't tried it yet either. As it is a BT product, I'm sure it'll be good when I do try it! Bob
