It does in fact exist and I know where there are 10 bottles - not in my possession. And I have not tasted it. :

Nice picture.

I've always thought it was funny that the VVOF's say "A Collector's Item" on them. Usually things that say Rare or Collectible are neither.

Back when ebay allowed booze sales I would check for VOFs looking

for specific dates. I would keep track of most sale info to try to get

a pricing idea (result - varied widely!)

I have a note of one bottle of VVOF (1951/69) sold March 2011 for

$1500. BIN (+ shipping).

Do you hear that sound?

That's the sound of dryeager's inbox filling up with PM's.

I love to chat about all things bourbon but the guy who owns them bought them to enjoy for years to come so I highly doubt he'll ever sell.

Hi,

Definitely exist. I have one in my bunker. See image. Labels stated it is 18 years old but is actually 1950-1969 but mine is 121 proof!!

Haven't open yet, eventually will. The VVOF12 I have open next to it is just amazing and heavenly. Nothing is close to it. I expect or hope this version will be just as good or better.

Cheers

Hugh

Great picture and I was unaware of the cask strength bottling.I also find it interesting it is bottled for the likes of the Wirtz of Wirtz Bev. Group and associates the owners of the Chicago Blackhawks, great history in that bottle. Thanks for sharing!

Mr. Yeager is correct, we have all seen it now and its true, Noah did in fact save the Unicorns, pink ones at that. Your bunker is impresive Sir. I see more in the back as well. What looks like at least 2 VOF 8s anther 12 or an original OW107, an "undisclosed treasure" in the gift box and what appears to be a case box, I have only seen two before and I hope yours is full. You have done well for your self.

It would be interesting to have a taste note between a Pappy 20 and these 18 or 19 year old predecessors so to speak. I wonder which is better.

Hidden

I feel sick after reading that an entire case of VVOF was thrown out. If the guy who did it knew what they were worth, he would be sick too, ha.
