Great News! Recent shelf sightings of Four Roses Yellow Label, Small Batch and Single Barrel.

Four Roses has come to paradise!

Also sighted, liter bottle Larceny and some other labels (Jesse James, Lexington, Temperance).

That's great news.... I look forward to trying some if I get back to Hawaii this year. Any sign of Buffalo Trace products yet?

For Buffalo Trace we do have the namesake bourbon, Elmer T. Lee and Blanton's Original. I think I saw a bottle of Rock Hill Farms once, but that was early last year and haven't seen it again since. :searching:

I bought a bottle of Yellow Label (completing my FR standard trio) and a Larceny liter (added to my unopened mail-order 750ml), just to say thanks to the store owner for broadening his bourbon range.

Shoot them a email. I once forwarded a great customer service response that I got to Mark Brown, and very quickly got feedback from him on my issue. Never hurts to let them know about your want for their product. They can certainly help make it happen getting there.

Hey, we've got another Buffalo Trace Distillery offering in stock now - Eagle Rare 10yo! So here's our current BT count; Eagle Rare, Blanton's, Elmer T Lee, Buffalo Trace and an Ancient Age. That also happens to be the descending price order, with ER coming in at a 'discounted' $36+tax.

Also, I saw Jack Daniel's Unaged Rye for $52+ right next to Jacob's Ghost @ $20.

I saw some of these on my last bourbon shopping trip months ago. I though I also saw a weller or two, not sure which type. Cam I have just about all of these on my bar so maybe we can do a bbq and tasting at my house when you come to Hawaii. Then you can try before you buy.

That's not a bad selection of BT. I would think any bourbon and Hawaii is a winner.

Even bad bourbon tastes bad in hawaii. The selection has gotten a lot better since I started this hobby. Won't have to order as much from TPS.

Larceny for one. Isn't OWA also wheated? Have to look again to see if that made it here. Should be some others also.

Wheaters are limited to MM (and 46), Larceny and Rebel Reserve, unless there's something different in the base package stores. :skep: Oh, and that 1 bottle of VSOF12 that just sits there - I am gonna make a lowball offer one of these days...

Time to report on some recent price hikes [@ the low-price retailers]. EC12 has been bumped from $20 to over $25, Blanton's from $34 to over $38, and WTRB went from $34 to over $38. Smaller hikes have appeared on some other labels.

Sorry you are seeing the increase, but those higher prices would still be considered very good prices around here!

Time to report on some recent price hikes [@ the low-price retailers]. EC12 has been bumped from $20 to over $25, Blanton's from $34 to over $38, and WTRB went from $34 to over $38. Smaller hikes have appeared on some other labels.

EC12 is around 24.99 in Indy and I just bought Blanton's for 43.99 which is exceptional. I think WTRB is close to 40 so even with the price increases, your prices aren't too bad.

Heaven hill had a price increase recently. I would assume it is across the board in every state.

Same with BT.

Same with BF.

Rinse repeat.

Retailers operate on a markup and margin. When the price increases for them, expect it to increase for the consumer.

Some places will buy in big when price increases are on the horizon to keep prices below the competition. Others will creep prices up rather than a big jump.

Okay, we've had the new DSP-1 Rittenhouse Rye 100 for a while now and just got the New Jim Beam Craft products. I'm tempted by the 12yo, but just a little.

I like the timing of that.... I'd say they'll be much cheaper than buying them here in Oz
