BT has revamped its Great Bourbons site and no longer lists THH as part of the BTAC. It's not on the site at all. Any significance to this or just an oversight? Anyone know?

I don't see saz 18 either. They also show the ORVW 10/90 but no 10/107. I am assuming they got the labels mixed up as the 10/90 was discontinued in 2012.

I got it "straight from the horse's mouth" that they are going to have more ORVW 107 available this fall than there has been in the past. So, I'll bet on mixup.

It does show Baby Saz though. FWIW, I think THH ought to be removed from the BTAC and made into a standard release. It's only 6 after all.

Still mature though wouldn't you say Jim?

Certainly. I just think THH has been around long enough for BT to have ramped up production and made it a regular release by now. Mature but as has been said many times before, not antique.

Seems silly that they would make a rye/bourbon distinction when redesigning the site since everything was on there before. Even more so given the accolades this year's Handy received. Who knows what goes on in those marketing heads.

Edit: Just noticed that Baby Saz is no longer in the lineup, either. Apparently it is just a rye/bourbon split.

Neither Handy, nor Saz 18, are bourbons. The site also does not show the CEHT Rye.

Correct, which is why we have a Rye forum here at SB.:skep:

Sorry for the confusion - my inquiry was meant to be more about the Great Bourbons site than Handy itself. Mods: feel free to move for archival purposes.

"It is anchorMAN, not anchorLADY! And that is a scientific fact!"

What is the qualification for the antique designation, anyway? Does it not apply to OWA? With this year's Handy at 6+ years, and OWA dropping the 7 year age statement, I'm thinking 6 years is the cutoff for the moniker.

Only if it's barrel proof. If it isn't, all we know is that the cutoff is somewhere between 10 and 17 years ;-)

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less."

You all know Mr. Dumpty, a well known spokesman for the spirits industry.

That would be a dream come true.

I guess, I'm a dreamer.......
