Smokewagon
As much weller 107 and 12yr as i could afford. I'd have a basement will a couple pallets stacked high before it was all said and done. After that i'd go for variety...~SW
mark fleetwood
Go to the bank, take out as many second mortgages as possible and then buy everything in site. Sell for 2x day after prohibition starts. (don't forget to supply the chief of police amply.)
Yeti
So many considerations. How much can I afford to budget over 12 months toward a permanent bunker? What's going to go fastest and first, what will be left close to the final day? Most LE bottles from 2012 are gone and the 2013s won't show up for another 5-6 months.I could probably come up with a budget around $5,000...10 Cases HH BIB 6yo - $12005 Cases OWA - $13505 Cases OGD114 - $1350$1000-1500 budget to grab every limited release bottle I can find, then pick up some Booker's or Baker's if I've got anything left. But that plan would only work with a few lump sum expenditures. Most likely it would be a random mishmash of nearly everything at the store. EC12, WT101, FRSB, etc. etc.
portwood
Dumb question time ... during last prohibition was it illegal to possess alcohol - even if acquired prior to prohibition? Not to put a damper on all the planned stockpiling or anything ...
yountvillewjs
I like the 'buy a barrel or two' idea -- and unoriginally, I'd tag along with hectic and hit up 4R. and lots & lots of Ritt BIB.
petrel800
I get the sense that the government would probably go out of it's way to discourage "stockpiling," if a true law was passed banning alcohol. You would probably be best served by buying bottles in a large quantity of purchases of small amounts spread out between as many stores as possible. A barrel purchase would probably draw unnecessary eyes upon you if consumption or possession was banned.Portwood, I'm by no means a prohibition history buff, but I don't think consumption was ever illegal. I think it mainly focused on the manufacture, selling, and transportation of alcohol.

fishnbowljoe
I have enough to keep me going for a while. Still, there's this one store that I know of that has twelve or fifteen cases of ........... Ahhhhhh, never mind. :slappin:
wmpevans
Cases of OWA, 4R OBSK and OESO, OGD 114, Ritt BIB, and as much GTS and WLW as I could find. I'ld have to stock up on several cases of rum also.
Andre28
lol i have no idea what all these abbreviations are. For me, i still think Makers Mark is an easy and pleasant enough drop, so quite a bit of that. Then some Russells Reserve and maybe some Bookers and Blantons (I'm down under though, so choices would be a little different if i lived stateside). ethangsmith
Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Even if I have to water it down a little to stretch a bottle longer it will still taste great!

MauiSon
I'm one of those few who can admit, 'I'm pretty well set in case of prohibition.' That's just the way I operate. With my home bunker and bunkers in Ohio and California, yeah, I'm prepared.
Kalessin
A warehouse in Canada full of top-shelfers for me and bottom-shelfers to send down in submarines for discreet sales up and down the East Coast.
Quantum
My current "bunker" is a shelf of Ritt 101 and OWA which I buy in bulk for convenience, so I would probably start by stockpiling more of these. BT is the volume leader in our house, so my next step would be buying up as much of that as I could while it was still readily available. Then I would pick up 2-3 bottles each of 4RSB, Elmer T Lee, Bookers, Blantons, and EWSB.Larceny is a current favorite, but goes to the end of the priority line because I just don't have the same history with it as the others. I would still try to grab a case or two.
