WsmataU
Did you ever hear anything back?OK, you've peaked my curiosity. I'm not ready to sign up for a whole case, but I'm good for a few bottles.

cowdery
They have the exact same program with Jack Daniel's and the Woodford program is similar, except it has to be a mixture of two barrels.Another way to approach this, if you're interested, is to prod your whiskey monger to do it. Not as much personal involvement, but a much lower investment.
cowdery
I seem to recall Bernie Lubbers saying last night at the HH tasting that at Heaven Hill they had about $125 in each barrel at the start. Don't know if that includes the barrel! And it probably doesn't include employees and overhead. Still, in 4 years that seems like a pretty decent profit! theglobalguy
Just posted some tasting notes from one of the local picks in the tasting forum;http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?20659-Old-Forester-Single-Barrel&p=361327#post361327Available in two stores locally, but haven't come across it elsewhere yet. Not bad, but not worth the premium.
