Did I get a Good Deal?

Just wanted to see what people think. I just found a bottle of Elijah Craig 18yr at a little liquor store for $21. Its a 1991 vintage. Barrel 3119.

Fabulous deal at $21. I love the stuff but even if I didn't, one of my friends surely would. So I'd call that a steal!

Thats not a "good" deal, but it may be considered a crime in some circles.

Many years ago I had it and it was quite good. Best price I would say so far. I would also buy this without hesitation at that price!

Back then, people had said this offering was inconsistent some bottles very good and some not so. Mine was quite good.

About 4 yrs ago driving thru MD I stopped at a couple Hancock MD liquor stores. Found 2 EC18 for $26 ea. Thrilled to get one, I didn't notice that the bottle's foil neck wrap had been very sharply and straightly cut. I was probably drinking Echo Spring. Hope yours is real.

If I could find any bottle of EC 18 for less than $45, I'd buy all that I could. I haven't seen a bottle of that great woody bourbon in a year and it makes me very sad.

In Canada bottom-shelf diesel fuel labeled as whisk(e)y is a deal at 26 bucks, let alone $26 for 18 year old anything.:slappin::slappin::slappin:

Good, quick go back to the store and tell the owner you'll go ahead and help him get rid of old stuff still sitting around gathering dust, 1 or 2 more, but no more than 1 or 2. Same price. ;-)
