Know of Any Bourbon Tastings in SE Michigan?

I'm pretty new to SB.com and am wondering how one finds out about Bourbon 'tasting' events in my area. I've seen several listed in Georgia (Mac McGee's), and I believe I missed one here in Southeast MI while awaiting approval to join SB.com. How/where might these kinds of things show up on this site? Any education/assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Or . . . you could move to a state with more tasting opportunities, and out from under the oppression of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission

Yup! Watch that space. We usually have at least one Michigan Bourbon Hounds get together in the summertime. Hell, if the weather is nice, maybe I'll even host one this year.
