Paradox
I heard through the grapevine recently that Barton's is releasing a new 'Small Batch' Bourbon. The label will say "Ridgewood Reserve" and under that 1792 and under that "Barrel Select". It will be bottled as 8 years old. I am not too sure of a release date but hopefully it will be out by festival time and it can be added to our lists of 'to find' bourbons.

Paradox
I heard from a store owner yesterday that orders have been placed for the Ridgewood Reserve now. Maybe we can add this bourbon to the list of 'to try' if it hits the store shelves in time for the bourbon festival, which she thinks it is expected to. She referred to it as a Single Barrel but maybe it was a mistake, so when I hear or know more I'll be sure to post it. As for now this is all I know... Oh, and she said it is a pretty nice looking bottle. Guess we'll just have to wait and see (and taste!) for ourselves guys, and gals. Oh yes, and she mentioned that as far as she was told, it is only going to be for sale in KY right now... All the more reason it needs to be on store shelves by festival time. bourbonmed
Mark,Thanks for the scoop. If they do well with it, maybe Barton will offer other intriguing treats, like a barrel proof or a vintage edition. Omar

bobbyc
At Liquor Barn, they had a pretty impressive display. It is 93.7 proof, From warehouse"Z" nothing else to distinguish it from another lot when it comes out and if it comes from "Z", Oh well. It has a small burlap ring on the neck and a nice wood cork finish. Very nice package. I have it open but haven't had time to properly get into it. Later today.
