Hi,

I really would like to buy this bottle, but never had any Stagg, and never had anything in this price range (it is 150€ per bottle).

Is it worthy the price, and would you recommend it?

Thanks in advance

Sven

That's a reasonable question but my answer has to be, it depends. Obviously we can get Stagg for comparatively less here than you can in Germany but it is still one of the higher priced brands domestically. So it really depends on whether you want to pay the premium for the Stagg experience. You can pay an equal amount for an undistinguished NPP Bourbon but Stagg is the real deal, a completely unique whisky in top form.

What does bourbon generally cost in Germany vs. US? How much is a Maker's Mark for example?

Hi all,

thanks, squire. So I have to buy it! The tasting reviews are all rave. What is the bottle in the U.S?

Bourbon in Germany, it depends. MM is 20€, OGD 16€, but Dickel is 50€ - totally depends.

Nearly double the price ... damn it! Nothing I can do against it.

Suggested retail price is around 80 but just finding it is nearly impossible. I do not think $150 is unreasonable given the distance, low supply and high demand.

Smart move. Stagg is one of my favorites and while the 2012 did not get the most glowing reviews on here compared to years past, I personally thought it was still fantastic.

$196--2.5x US retail, but probably worth it. it should last a long time, at least mine do. unless you're a big drinker or sharer.
