Trey Manthey
I got word from an distribution rep today that the 7th (and final) PHC release will be a 12 year cask strength single barrel. This is the release that will go towards the Promise of Hope Fund.According to the source, the info is from Parker himself who mentioned this during a recent dinner. MyOldKyDram
Wonder what they have lined up to replace it? Tell me they're going to do something going forward?
Josh
Sounds delicious but, balls.Hopefully there's a Craig's Heritage Collection to come!
Richnimrod
Sounds delicious but, balls.Hopefully there's a Craig's Heritage Collection to come! OOOOOh, I agree. I hate to think of a world without this sort of wonder to look forward to each year. You never knew what it might be; but it always turned out to be unique, and never a disappointment. I'm sure that Craig and the rest of the folks will continue some tradition (or start a new one), if Parker is indeed bowing out. Any news on Parker's health? GaryT
I wonder what it will be of? They've got EC12BP (not a single barrel, I know), which (referring to Josh's awesome Whiskey Tree) represents many/most of their bourbons (at least from a mashbill perspective, obviously aging location will play a big role). Might this be a 12 yr, cask strength Old Fitz? Or maybe not a bourbon at all?
c2walker
I'm hoping for a 12 year old barrel proof rye, but we're likely looking at ECBP single barrel for $70 towards a good cause.
HP12
If it in fact turns out to be true that PHC 7th will be the final expression in the series, that will indeed be a sad reality in the world of us Bourbon enthusiasts. This series has truly been an annual must have for this PHC admirer.
BFerguson
While I hope that this really won't be the end of what has become some of the best whiskey released annually, if it really is the end, I'm hoping even more that something equally amazing gets put out into its place. These release has probably been may favorite to look forward to in recent years.B
WAINWRIGHT
This is sad news indeed if true,as a huge fan of the PHC line and it's diversity over the years always kept it interesting.I hope the best to Parker and that Craig comes up with a similar line of product in the future to continue his fathers tradition. G-Rat
Don't know if this had been commented on elsewhere but, perhaps it is the last one in this series because Parker is retiring? As someone else said a CHC collection might be the future of this label.
matnab2000
What time of the year does the PHC usually come out?

As someone else said a CHC collection might be the future of this label.Parker has ALS, besides just being an old guy. My guess is that he'll slowly phase out his responsibilities but no one has heard a lot of details about his health. He could be retiring anytime, but we do know that day is certainly not far away. doubleblank
What time of the year does the PHC usually come out?In the recent past, HH introduces the new PHC at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans (see my posts about it last year). Then goes retail in early fall.
