Bogie liked rye.

I once heard Nixon loved scotch.

Dostoyevsky drank brandy like a fish.

Hemingway drank damn near everything.

What was Dean Martin's favorite drink? What about Sinatra?

Know any stories, or preferences?

Sinatra was an early proponent of Jack Daniels.

Bogart and Spencer Tracy were scotch fans though Bogart switched to Vodka near the end of his life.

During an interview Mr. Martin referred to pouring a Scotch and soda.

John Wayne drank Bourbon, no ice or mixer, just Bourbon and a glass.

And it was probably a dirty glass. With a crack.

Great finds! I especially like the Twain poster.

Sinatra and the rat pack were big JD drinkers.

Supposedly, Frankie left instructions to have a fifth of Jack, a pack of Camel (non-filters?) and a Zippo lighter put in his casket upon his passing. I've heard that more than once. Not sure if it's true or not, but it does make for a good story.

Old Crow was highly regarded in the 1870s and I recall a reference or two made by Mark Twain. I believe the brand was also the favorite of then President U.S. Grant.

When Grant was accused of being a drunkard, Lincoln supposedly said to find out what he drinks and order a barrel for the rest of the generals.

I came across a reference to Old Crow on a website where the fellow said that OC was a great bourbon because Grant drank it. Operative word there is "was" a great bourbon.

From what I understand the character James Bond drank IW Harper bourbon in the books but that clear stuff in the movies.

Yes, the vodka thing was more a creation of the movies, particularly Smirnoff who paid a hefty sum for their label being displayed.
