ATXWhiskey
Until yesterday I had never seen a bottle of Very Old Barton Bottled-in-Bond in Texas and so I had never had a chance to try it. There were two bottles at a Twin Liquors in west Austin yesterday so I picked one up to try it. Man, it really lives up to the hype. I nearly polished the whole bottle off last night.Has anyone else seen it in Texas? I'm hoping that Texas has been added to the distribution area. If so, this is going to become a staple in my house. squire
Limited distribution has kept Barton under the radar for years, glad you were able to get a bottle of the 100 proof.

Young Blacksmith
There's a store between Lufkin and Nacogdoches that regularly carries it, and one in Longview that says they will be carrying it soon. It's out there, the buyers just have to keep asking for it from the distributors.
michang5
Austin Wine Merchant has it. Only place I've seen the BiB around here.

wadewood
If one store in TX has it, then it should be available at wholesale level and all others stores should be able to order it as well. Has anybody seen it in 1.75l handles?
squire
Same here, if one store can get it the others should be able to as well, but they don't.

DBM
All the Goody Goodys I've been to around North Dallas seem to have 750s of the BIB.
Bmac
I know of 1 liquor store here in Dallas that has VOB 100. I need to go back and see if they're still there.
gblick
Spec's in Houston didn't have the BIB in stock (only had the 86 proof), and they told me the BIB was special order only, so I placed a bottle on order.
smknjoe
How much is it? I thought $20 might be overpriced where I saw it (since they were selling Weller 12 right next to it for $35 )
gblick
How much is it? I thought $20 might be overpriced where I saw it (since they were selling Weller 12 right next to it for $35 )The guy at the downtown store told me it was $15. But when I placed an order for it on my side of town, I was told it was $16.80. I told the guy that the downtown store said it was $15, and he said he'd recheck when it came in and would 'see what he could do' about matching the downtown store's quote. It still hasn't arrived yet, thought it would've by now.
wadewood
At Goody Goody in Houston, the store at 1960 and 59N the price is $13.89.
squire
$13.89 is a bit higher than what we have to pay but still a good price for a quality BIB.

Bmac
I went to the store that I thought had it...it was 14.00 bux and they had more. They are from 2011. I bought a bottle. Not bad...but not great. It leaves a strange after taste.
Forkmann
Austin Wine Merchant has it. Only place I've seen the BiB around here. It's also at Twin Liquor. Tried it last night for the first time. Not bad for $14...
