Old Forester?

Alden, I find the Signature 100 to be less sweet than WR, but actually MORE complex. It's good ol' "chewy" bourbon.

OF Signature is definitely on my short list of great bourbon that isn't crazy expensive or too hard to find. It also seems like it is one where the handle is a better deal. I think I've seen handles for around $35 vs. low $20s for a 750ml.

Yeah, it has a definite thickness to it that many others lack. I'm "chewing" some right now. It's like liquefied butterscotch candy with a punch.

Riding my hobby horse at a gallop again, regular OF sells for $19.15 and Signature is $21.95 in OH. Seems like a no brainer because the OFS is worth more than an exta $1.80. Here's the rub: OF is available in 504 OH liquor stores. OFS is carried by 7. Bought my last bottle at TPS. Didn't care for it at first but after it aired and my palate adjusted, I changed my mind.

Good catch. Still, my point is that Signature is worth the extra price--but it is avalable at only 7 stores compared to the 504 that carry the regular.

The consolation for your not having OF is that you do have Hawaii! Five great big family-sized jugs of it.
