There is a local store with one bottle of the Parker's Heritage Collection. It is 100 proof and supposedly contains juice from all 5 of the decades Mr. Beam has been involved at Heaven Hill. What year of the series would this be from? Also would a sale price of $99 make this worth taking a shot at it? FWIW I am a drinker of ryes and bourbons and have no intent to flip this bottle or put it on the forum for hundreds of dollars. I am wondering about its value as something that will sit in my belly.

That's the 2009 release. I've never crossed its path but if I did I'd be ok with giving $100 for it - that's actually significantly less than MSRP was.

I believe the only appropriate advice is:

Agree with Yeti, Run do not walk and go get it. If they have some extras get those as well.

This is great stuff.

Best regards, Tony

It is a great whiskey indeed and a ridiculously low pricepoint,$150 at time of release.I enjoy the PHC Golden quite a bit, very subtle and well structured/complex:grin: and it's a one off that is very seldom seen anymore let alone at that price,I know what I'd do!

What bourbon does in your belly is your own business; it's really the journey that counts. And the whiskey in that bottle offers one of the most pleasurable journeys out there in bourbon land. If I was broke and owed the mob I'd still figure out a way to take that bottle home with me.

If you give me the name and exact location of the store where you saw it, I will hurry over and make sure they hold it for you.

Looks pretty unanimous. I agree with everyone else. I actually came across 2 cases of this about a year ago at retail and bought them all. I think $150 is a bit much for it. However, at $100, I would buy it all!

No brainer and follow the sound advise of all those above. Run, don't walk and grab that bottle and don't leave any behind.

I found one a year ago for $150 and still feel fortunate to find one at that time. If I could get another one for $100, I would give the store owner a kiss.

The jury has decided: get it get it. Was that the $150 bottle or the $200 bottle? The first and fourth were both about $80 and worth every penny.

Tried to talk the manager down from 99. No dice. I have to ponder it a little more. I just can't justify a hondo for a bottle of whiskey with the needs of my young family. Hope a worthy soul enjoys it.

I appreciate all the info on the PHC bottle. I am getting tons of PM's on the bottle but I have no interest in brokering a deal for my own profit or others. If I buy it, it will be sipped by me. Thanks all.

Finally! After hearing so much about it I'd like to know what you think of it. Never had any myself.

Nicely done! :woohoo:

Well played and very wise decision. That will be one regret you won't have on the death bed! Enjoy that special pour at a very special price!

Glad to see you picked this one up. I just purchased a bottle at $150 and don't regret it. Though I did attempt to talk the manager down as well, he wasn't having it.
