Look, I got really ticked at Chuck one time here about something that had nothing to do with bourbon, and I know some have many times, but the guy is a huge source of knowledge and a fantastic writer, a real treasure to this community. He used to link to sample reviews from Bourbon Country Reader but they are a little harder to find now, but here is my favorite..for MM:

I am working out of town and am enjoying a half-pint of Makers and even though it's 9 years since that review, his review nails it perfectly. A testament to Samuels and Co. and to Chuck's descriptive abilities.

So for all but the hopeless MM haters, have a shot or two and compare your thoughts to Chuck's..

Kudos Chuck! We are all enriched by your knowledge and 'crotchety' perspective!

Great subject line. The implicit reading, '[Drink] Maker's and Chuck! [blah blah]'

Wow. ix.netcom.com. That was my first dial-up Internet provider from 1993... I thought they went defunct many years ago... This *must* be an old review...

Some hard disk somewhere just spun to life that hadn't moved in years! Footnote called out 2004.

I've kept my ix.netcom.com email address because I have it printed so many places. Netcom was absorbed by and still lives within Earthlink. They're not my isp but I still pay them a modest amount for the address and web hosting. There's probably a smarter solution, but "there's probably a smarter solution" could be the motto for my whole life.
