Grain Belt
So here in the Great White North (MN), Ten High has become a blend with GNS. Not buying that chit! But I found some dusty .750 plastic travelers of real deal Ten High Straight Bourbon for 7 bucks. Is it good enough stuff to purchase? I have never had it. I have had VOB BIB (liked it), 1792 (loved it)

I have had VOB BIB (liked it), 1792 (loved it)It's definitely worth 7 bucks. It's 4 year 80 proof Barton juice, sounds like you have a good frame of reference to decide if it's up your alley. squire
At $7 that's a genuine bargain.
StraightBoston
At $7 that's a genuine bargain. It's thin (I use it as a summer mixer) but for $7 I'd go for it. That said, VOB BIB is the better value with age and proof on it.
squire
Yeah, to me it's Barton Lite but we used quite a bit of it for Summer entertaining mixers.
TheNovaMan
IMHO, it's the best of the really inexpensive bourbons. That may have something to do with being aged at least the full four years instead of 36 months like the rest of the bourbons in the Ten High price bracket. I used to drink it every day, but then I ran into the same problem here in MI that you have up in MN.
squire
It's worth stockpiling if you find some. When I was young there were a lot of Bourbon brands in that category, Charter Oak, Old Hickory, Daviss County, Kentucky Beau, all of which are now gone. With the move toward 36 month and blended stuff we will not have such choices again.
