Age of Old Fitz bottle?

I've seen that pic before too, but I can tell you that the new member who started this thread didn't post it in the other place where we've all seen it. He's just someone who is looking for some info on a bottle.

I was merely stating how clever I am. By no means do I know everything. I barely qualify for the "knows something" category.

Also, I'm guessing he hasn't received the bottle yet and thus can't provide close ups. This is judging from the date of the other post and the assumption that he bought it online not in person.

In other news, welcome to the fold, Bontrager! I've learned a ton from these guys.

Duly noted. I'm a history buff, what can I say, it's part of the reason I became so intrigued by bourbon in the first place. The history of this craft is fascinating to me. Will definitely post tasting notes when I decide to crack it open. For now, I'm enjoying just admiring it. :cool:

Not directed at you bontrager, at least not directly. There has been much written here about the high prices from those posting on the FB bourbon exchange. Please remember this site is over populated with satirists, one liners and ass holes. (myself in the later), once a thread gets going the originator can feel besieged when many are simply poking fun at the most recent posting.

Stick around, your skin will thicken and you will almost certainly have an opportunity to throw some back.

Understood, though I honestly didn't know if you were being sarcastic or not (didn't see a wink), b/c I don't typically buy, I usually trade, and the friends I've made along the way have been pretty down to earth good guys. YMMV.
