tigerlam92
First off, not likely I can do this any time soon just something that popped in my mind and stemming from all my best vacations were because of the people and also because I have a local person taking me around. So wondering if this has ever been done. Won't it be wonderful if someone (s) did a road trip across US (sorry about folks in other country but idea is still the same), visiting folks from all the different states/cities and sharing drinks and stories or even in accordance to their vacation destinations. If I was doing this, I'll be bringing what's open in my bar and many from my bunker and share what I have while trying what I haven't tasted or even seen. This would be a great bourbon (and rye) experience but also meeting many in the SB.com community while seeing and living the local scene. whiskeyagonzo
Fantastic idea. I as well don't know when I could travel but my bar is open for anyone passing through. I don't have a lot but I am willing to share with the good folks here on SB.
squire
As plans go this is a good one.
Richnimrod
I'll second (third?) this idea! It sounds like so much fun, it's probably illegal (actually it is illegal to travel with open liquor, but who checks, right?). Anyway, I'll add my own invitation to whomever expects to be South of Detroit, along I-75 or I-94. PM me a few days before, and maybe we can plan a visit for the enjoyment of all concerned. I have a fair variety in my stash, for what it's worth.
squire
So buy the sampling goods at the next destination.
tigerlam92
Just searched. Opened container can be transported in the trunk or locked glove box just not in the passenger area where it is easily accessible to the driver, especially, and also the passenger. This way we can share some of the harder things to find but that's not the most important but nice to have. CheersHugh
Yeti
Anyone from the midwest or the south heading to destinations on the coast can feel free to stop by for a thorough dose of Appalachian hospitality. I-64, I-77, and I-79 all converge about 1 mile from my doorstep.
squire
That's true Hugh, locked in the trunk is viewed as an exception but it's not something I want to explain to an uninformed uniform officer.
