ATXWhiskey
Found a bottle randomly today and I'm really enjoying a glass. I had never seen one in the wild until today (I'm new to this game) and so, especially in light of the news the ten year is going away, I decided to snap it up. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. Plus I would love to know when exactly this stuff stopped being produced.
smknjoe
I don't know much about it other than it's sweet corny/butterscotchy and zero burn. Not complex but enjoyable. What I want to know is how does it compare to OCPR 13yr?http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?7671-Old-Charter-Classic-90-New-Labelhttp://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?5966-Old-Charter-12-year-old-classic-90http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?1093-Old-Charter-Classic-90-Mark-Brown-Replies
scratchline
I think it's a great Old Charter expression and preferable to the 13 yr. I've passed up many OCPRs and have no regrets. I wish I had a couple of cases of the Classic. -Mike
squire
Good stuff and well priced, they dropped the line 4-5 years ago. Another victim to the bottom line because the aged whisky could be sold more profitably under another label.
squire
I do prefer the Proprietor's Reserve though and I'm not normally a fan of older whiskys.
brettckeen
Delicious easy sippin, just like all the OCs
p_elliott
Yes that is a shame because I liked the OC 90 Classic 12 myself
squire
It was one of those things I didn't pay much attention to thinking it would still be there next trip and one day it wasn't.

Same with the 10 which vats great with the 101 (or my wife's sweet potato casserole). A store here always had an ample supply of the 10 at $12.99 and then a trip back last year...gone.
