mbroo5880i
Plus, it's tough to go wrong with 100 proof. Just less watering-down of whatever brand profile can make for a great leap in quality, and the BIBs all seem to be under $20, while there are plenty of $25+ bottles that are under 95 proof.I have somewhat limited experience with BIBs but I haven't tried one that I haven't liked. As you point out the price is generally lower than highly marketed brands and the whiskey is generally good quality.
VAGentleman
Not sure where you're at in Virginia, Draper, but I've purchased at least three in-state before: OGD BIB, EW BIB, and JTS Brown BIB. It may take some searching, but I certainly prefer them all to Early Times.
393foureyedfox
We get VOB BIB in Viginia also, which is excellent!
Jackinbox
one of the best BIBs ive tried. ive still not tried OGD BIB, i cant help but grab the 114The BIB is fantastic. I've yet to try the 114 but it's on my list. I just found a place that sells the 114 for around $20, so I may pick up a bottle this weekend. 393foureyedfox
probably the best and most unique bourbon youll get for $20. my advice is to open it, let it sit a while (open) then pour a drink. i opened it and poured one and it was so-so. after it was open for a few weeks, it got MUCH better.
