I was wrong. Mine are 35 & 34

Havent tapped into either of mine yet but my Blend is running low. Are the Single Barrels worthy of keeping unblended? If so need to grab a generic OWA.

Far be it from to tell anyone how to drink their bourbon. I like it on its own but some will be blended as well. Will make a great SB blend.

Opened my first bottle of EW1783. My newbie palate tastes licorice?

First time I detected licorice was FRSB, I had to have pours on different nights to confirm what I thought I was tasting, but that was it and I like that about the SB. I have recently (today) A/B'd WT101 and WT RB for the second time, both of which I really like as they are different but similar, one of the common denominators is that licorice taste. To be clear I am talking black licorice which I loved as a kid so its really cool how certain bourbons are bringing back childhood memories, who woulda thought? The licorice I get in WT is more prominent than the hint I get in FR so I would say yes that's what you are tasting.

My question now is why? Is this the yeast? Does WT use a yeast that gives off a licorice taste and is FR using something similar in one of their 10 recipes that results in a similar flavor? I have only tasted what you describe in the three I mentioned and not in anything else, I am nowhere close to having an encyclopedic tasting history but its broad enough that I wonder about the yeast.

Had the last of my bottle of Willett 4 year rye, now having a little from a Woodford barrel selection bottle given to me by a friend. The Woodford tastes exactly like OF signature with a little more bite. I'll be interested to compare once the final bottles get sent out.

OGD 114 followed by KC120. About to close it out with a mellow pour of EWB.

Drinking way too much of Four Roses Single Barrel. It's too tasty not to overindulge.

started with some AAA and finishing up with some VROHH 8yr.

Finishing up what is hopefully the end of a head cold, so not much is really tasting memorable at this point.

Barrels could vary I suppose. What don't you like about it?

Revisiting a bottle of WR I forgot I had under the bar. I was on a heavy rye kick for awhile last year and thought it tasted bland. Still love me a good aged rye but the Woodford is tasting good tonight. So good I emptied the bottle. Cheers!

BMH, almost thru the bottle. Still amazed how much the profile changes over a matter of a few weeks of air.

Nice! I think I'll go finish my 99 so I can get started on some of that. Have you opened the 99 yet? Judging by color alone I have a feeling the 99 might be a little milder than the 91.
