mbroo5880i
Opened with a solid pour of EC12 and, for some reason, opted for a pour of Angel's Envy. I love EC12 and like AE. I just hadn't had it in awhile.
Rkkingsley
Finishing the night by enjoying a decent pour of BHC Harper after experimenting earlier with variations on a Manhattan. Been trying different recipes over the last couple days with the intent to barrel-age my favorite. Think I'm going with a 3:1 (WTR101 : Noilly Prat). We'll see how it turns out. smokinjoe
Trying to grind through (again) an Abraham Bowman 17.5 yr 147.5 proof. Scorching hot. It's absurdly tannic, but..Scorching hot. But, with a cube of ice added to the glass, it's...Scorching HOT!! Is there anything of flavor in this whiskey?? Or, is it just Scorching Hot????? smknjoe
Curious to see how the Weller compares to the Fitz since the Weller is 7yr. The Fitz was usually about 4yrs. wasn't it?

smknjoe
Nice line up Bob. I think that 1835 is actually sourced whiskey from NDP in Texas. Wadewood would know more about it.
squire
Yeah, that's sourced, or if they're making it for sure it's young.
bingstein
Old Ezra 7/101. I read an old post that said about it "this is what WT101 should be, or at least what it was." May have to take it to the limit tonight by doing a side by side with some WT8 and WT #8 and the OE7.
mbroo5880i
Nice pour of HH 6-Year BIB. A solid bourbon at only $9.99 per bottle. Followed up with a decent pour of WR. It was from a bottle that was gifted to me. So, assuming that my pour of HH was 4 oz., I paid about $1.60 for two solid pours.
HighInTheMtns
Three OBSKs tonight. 9 year, 5 month, 122.2 proof; 10 year, 2 month, 111 proof; 2013 1BLE, 120.8 proof. Drank 'em blind, hard to pick a winner.

skidfive
Had some ER 17, EC 12, and Blantons. Found a restaurant in Monterey that had ER17, GTS, THH, PVW15, vw10/107, LotB, PHC 10 year, willet 20 year, high west 21, and many many more (said they had pvw20 and 23 although i didn't see it on the bar)prices were definitely high for a shot.er17- $20gts-$30pvw15-$32 (if i recall correctly)pvw23-$60ec12-$
bigtoys
in that order; neat. fruity, smooth, rich. those are my first impressions. I enjoyed them all.
oke&coke
Unwinding after a long day with a Charter 101. It does have a young grain taste but it balances with the light wood and slight heat from the alcohol. Very good stuff for the price. Too bad we don't get it in Hawaii. smokinjoe
I hadn't been on the bike in a while, so decided I'd take a spin on my medium course. I should have limited it to a ride to the mailbox, and back. Kicked my arse. If you ain't right, the hills of Georgia will make you pay...as I did today. So, after an ice gold Corona, I'm starting my blood doping with a BT and Ale-8-One in a big ol' Tumbler chock-full-o ice...
