Maligned? I really appreciate WT, there is a house flavor that is unlike anything else. I enjoy the 101 when travelling but at home when I need to scratch that WT itch its Rare Breed. The flavor is HUGE and deep and delicious. Whats the hit on WT tradition?
Couldn't have described my thoughts on Rare Breed any better.

After picking up a few bottles of the ECBP, I went back to EC12 that I haven't had in a while. Good dependable option, especially at less than $20. Wondering why I don't drink it more often.

Try vatting the ECBP:EC12 - you might like that too ;-)

Drinking some FRSB OBSV gift shop selection. Sooo hard to stay away from the FR's, but I'm not really fighting it that hard .

Drinking some Old Ezra 7/101. I'm going to compare it to some HH 6 yr BiB

Looking forward to this one

Lil OGD 114 to start the evening. Then I may blend some RRSmBSB w some rare, high proof rye and see what that does for me.

Mine is horrible. Twould appear their accidental mixing skills are far better than my purposeful ones. *dumped*

A lot of people think the Tradition is overpriced at $100 and not as good as its high-end predecessors like American Spirit and especially Tribute.

yep, people dis the gaudy package and many say overpriced, but then overpriced is said about a lot o' stuff. this juice is exceptional super great!

Having some Fighting Cock tonight. It has been unseasonably cool here in Virginia for August, and the old FC seems right for the start of fall.

i found them very similar, just different enough to tell them apart. i expected them to be practically the same.....i was wrong. i cant describe what was different, maybe you can.

I've dispensed with the notion of mixing Bourbon and Rye opting to just pour a high Rye Bourbon in the first place.

Is Georgia just going to skip September?? Cool here, too. With the coolness, I decided to revisit the 2012 PHC that I kinda pushed away for the warmer months. This day has not come soon enough, as I am happily reminded why this is the greatest whiskey I have ever tasted.

Pour of Michter's tonight...had it at a hotel about 3 months ago, found a bottle in Dallas about 3 weeks ago. I really enjoy it. Too expensive for everyday, but this is something my young and inexperienced palate really likes.

That's because you started with RRSmBSB.

Ha I'm sure that didn't help it along, for true. Hell, gotta use that crap up somehow.

They were both very good, but I like the HH better. It had a thicker mouthfeel to me and was more complex. It had a nice mix of sweetness mixed with oak and slight mint. The Old Ezra surprisingly had a thinner mouthfeel with a granulated sugar like sweetness. it was corny and actually tasted younger than the HH.

Get some WTR81, maybe two wrongs will make a right.

Nah, think I'll leave future blends to distiller mistakes, Gary, and nights at the AWS.
