Could have told him it was the famous W.L. Willett Distillery, sitting next to Rollins Creek ... first bourbon ever made, by Rev. Willett...

ER10 store pick. Nearly through the first bottle, more in the bunker waiting.

Must say, I think we did pretty good picking this one.

For the love of Pete, will somebody sell this man an ECBP?!?!?! :D

FEF, if you don't have one by KBF, I'll bring you one and sell it to you under your $30 threshold, if you promise not to mention that you can't find one again...:skep:

still cant find one........:skep:

Opened a '99 WTRB as I keep running into them.. i will have to give it sometime with the bottle open as of night now it is very woody and seriously lacks the 90s WT sweetness

Breaking into a new bottle of KC120. For being such a high proof bourbon, there is hardly any alcohol burn. It is certainly quite a thick and rich bourbon.

Just opened a bottle of E.H. Taylor Small Batch. I like it.

That is all of the review you are getting from me....yep, I like it.

wow! its working!

id gladly pay retail for one. if only i could find one.

ill be in nashville this weekend. is there any in THIS area?

ive got other things i really enjoy, but i just find the ECBP issue particularly irritating due to the the location I live.

Just living in KY doesn't guarantee you access to anything. Hell, makes it harder sometimes. Such is life.
You were so close!

I did my best....
How about the goat as a consolation prize?:skep:The ECBP is water under the bridge at this point.

Well in honor of all this, drinking some ECBP now. May have to go pick up a 137 proofer tomorrow.

Finished a bottle of 1835. Hang out once a week for a couple of hours for scotch and cigars, which has now become cigars and bourbon... See, I don't smoke, but its a great way to finish the bottom third of bottles and thats appreciated by the group. The 1835 is a middling bourbon of indeterminate origin. Not bad, not good, just bourbon that would be an ok deal at EWB prices but instead is in the $20's.

I also had my last dram of 1783, a better whiskey overall and a fair deal at $15

Had a nice Old Fashioned made with Bookers last night at Blackheart on Rainey street in Austin.

Best regards, Tony

Started with a pour of ER17, and finished with a pour of GBS ETL :yum:

Finally picked up my allotment, so I'm starting and finishing with the GBS ETL.

Honestly it's a toss-up. They're both great, but if I'm forced to choose I'm leaning 2012. It's just a touch juicer to me.
